Home Builder Grant

In June 2020 the Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the Home Builder Grant. A summary of the grant is below:

Grant is $25,000. Paid after first progress claim.

June 4th to Dec 31 entry to contract required.

Can be in addition to first home owners etc

Works $150,000 – $750,000 (= 16% – 3.3% of the project). For a Project home build it is 7-10% so not bad for that market.

No owner builders, pools, sheds, garages or anyone earning more than $125k single and 200K couple.

Only eligible if you would otherwise meet first home owners grant and the property is valued at less than $1.5M.
